It's soo hot...

It has been a scorcher this weekend, about 30 degrees. Canada is certainly the land of extreme weather. Anna has been hufing and puffing around in her bra trying to keep cool. We went down to Kitsilano beach on Sunday, threw a frisbie and kicked the footy about all afternoon. Simon and I even went for a swim in the sea, which was very brown and strangely lacking saltiness. We both had our 'I've just done a 6 month snow season' sun tans on so sunny's were a must. Don't worry mum, sunscreen was applied liberally and often.
It is Canada day tomorrow and in true North American style it will be celebrated by exploding 400 pounds of fireworks over the city. Canadians are not the chest beating, anthem roaring patriots their neighbours are so it will probably be quite a nice evening watching some fireworks on the waterfront, I might even make a quiche.
