What an experience that was. Indescribable really. Vegas is definitely one of those see to believe experiences. The streets were dirty, people fat, temperature hot, atmosphere Seedy, lights bright but more so than anything else highly entertaining. We were entertained by a show called Le Reve, by the craps table, by the blackjack table, by the hotel pool, by the wonderful themed hotels and by the crazy people.
Anna and I celebrated like we’d taken the house when she had a $25 win on the slots but she then chose to retire on top. Excuses like ‘no I’m too nervous’, ‘I don’t feel like it’ and my favourite ‘I get just as much enjoyment out of watching you play’ became common amongst the blackjack table.
Our last supper with Matt and Mani was a Vegas style buffet containing cuisine from almost everywhere in the world, not good for an indecisive personality such as mine. I think I spent the first half an hour walking up and down the serving stations weighing the pros and cons of each style of food, it is all a bit of a blur. Anna’s disappointment at not being able to find ham sandwiches and milk was subdued by the assortment of Greek dishes.
Next stop, New York.
