We spent a weekend in Worcester for one final hurrah amongst our ex-pat friends before legging it to Chamonix. I can't say I'm a fan of their sauce but the town itself is really cool. Accomodation was provided by Anna's friend Kelly and her partner Marc, It was a really nice apartment and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
One of the highlights of our English experience so far has been the wonderful array of old pubs. Heroes in Worcester now rates as one of my favourites. It may sound like a transexual milk bar but it's really old and traditional. It is quite special to be amongst the history of sagging wooden beams, thatched roofs and solid oak leaners while drinking a pint, and quite a fire hazard come to think of it.
We are in Chamonix now having some down time after cooking (and eating) some culinary delights, most of which revolve around rich cheeses. Simon, our chef, is classic and seems to know what he's talking about. We will keep you informed on our progress.
