The day began at a mellow pace for both Anna and I. Opening presents, Breakfast and Skiing were first priorities, in that order. Christmas dinner consisted of a four course gastric master-class produced and presented by the two of us, for the two of us. Duck breast, local cheese’s and wine ensured there was a French influence while three episodes straight of ‘Outrageous Fortune’ meant we still used phrases like ‘far out, this is choice’ and ‘cher bro, really wucked aye’ to describe what we were eating. In the evening we visited friends for a few festive beverages and phoned home to speak with our families.
All in all a very enjoyable Christmas Day, however this time of the year does evoke emotions of home sickness and a longing to sit around with family enjoying conversation at a level of understanding only possible with those who share your blood. Isn’t it funny how we always want what we don’t have.

No gloves, Anna you toughy-an.
