Dubrovnik

A boat sails off into the distance
A few beers on the Adriatic, thank you.

On the wall

We landed in Dubrovnik at 8pm after leaving our sleepy little French village at 8am that morning. It was a long journey made longer by the long night we'd had prior, we had a reason to be out and you guessed it, it's a long story. If we had any sense we would have been tucked up in bed at 8:30pm ready for a big day travelling, since we don't have any sense we spent most of the night singing and dancing to our favourite Argentiere band in our favourite Argentiere Bar. A group lead enthusiastically by Anna raised 1200 Euros for Breast Cancer Research in two nights. The hook was that Dave, The Office owner and possessor of a seriously long and dirty ponytail for at least the last 15 years, was to shave his head. The event was aptly named...Shave the Dave...and went off awesomely. The perfect way to finish our time in Argentiere and say good bye to some great friends.

Dubrovnik is every bit as beautiful as people say it is. We managed to meet up with a couple of Aussies who became our best friends for a day. We explored the outskirts of the city, walked the wall, ate seafood and drank beer right on the seaside all in splendid sunlight and with company of great value. From here we head up the via the islands of Korcula and Hvar.
